Protests against the so-called “Agneepath” military reform in India are escalating. In the protests in Secunderabad city in Indian state of Telangana, clashes broke out between police and protesters. In the city where the tension rose, 1 protester died and 13 people were injured. While it’s been stated that the police opened fire on the crowd, it’s been reported that it isn’t known yet whether the loss of life was caused by the police bullet.

On the other hand, different parts of the country including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, are the scene of violent protests. In Bihar and Telangana, buses and train cars were set on fire, with police being accused of using excessive force at some points.
