1 died, 3 went missing due to floods and landslides in Japan

One person died in a car that was flooded in the Toyohashi region of Aichi province due to the flood caused by Typhoon Mawar in southern Japan. Meanwhile, one person went missing after their house was destroyed due to a landslide in Shizuoka, and two others went missing after getting caught in the floodwaters in Wakayama. Search and rescue efforts continue.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) announced that Typhoon Mawar will lose its effect on the country today after moving east from the offshore of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. Experts warned citizens to be prepared for further floods and landslides as water levels in rivers may increase.
