A high-speed train D2809 departing from Guiyang city in Guizhou province of China, derailed in an area close to Rongjiang County at around 10:30 am local time. While the mechanic died in the accident, 1 officer and 7 passengers were injured. It’s stated that the injuries were not life-threatening. The other 136 passengers on the train were evacuated safely. It’s learned that the destination of the train is Guangzhou. Officials announced that the accident occurred as a result of the mud coming from the mountains filling the rails.
