1 people missing after torrential rains caused flood in Brazil

Torrential rains continue to affect life negatively in Brazil. In the country, torrential rains caused flood in the state of Sao Paulo. After hit by flood, streets of Barretos city in Sao Paulo almost turn into river on Thursday. It’s been reported that a 77-year-old woman is missing after swept away by the flood on Thursday afternoon. The local government of Barretos declared a state of public calamity for 90 days after the disaster. All activities by the local government were suspended in order to give priority to repairment of the damages caused by the disaster in the city. Brazilian Civil defense officials announced that they expect the torrential rains to continue with the same intensity for the next 4 days in Barretos.

Also due to torrential rains, 2 streams overflowed in the city of Guariba in Sao Paulo. While many homes and businesses were flooded, it was stated that there were no deaths or injuries in the flood disaster.
