The Mexican army has carried out an operation against the drug cartel Familia Michoacana in the Mexican city of Texcaltitlan. The Mexican State Attorney General’s Office announced that a gunfight broke out between cartel members and security forces during the operation. The State Attorney General’s Office stated that 10 cartel members were neutralized in the conflict and 7 cartel members were arrested, 4 of whom were injured. In the statement, it was told that 3 people from the security forces were slightly injured during the operation and 2 of the injured were taken to the hospital for medical attention. As a result of the operation, the security forces seized 5 vehicles, 20 AR-15 assult rifles, numerous pistols and military equipment belonging to the Familia Michoacana cartel.
