100,000 hectares burned in bushfires in australia

Fires broke out in 5 different mountain regions in Alice Springs, Australia. According to officials, 100,000 hectares of land have been damaged in the fires so far. About 20 percent of Tjoritja (West MacDonnell) National Park in the MacDonnell mountain range burned.

The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service said the bushfire season in the south will last until April, with the risk of fires increasing in central Australia for the coming weeks.
