12 More Nepali Died due to Monsoon Rains

Two passenger buses were dragged into the Trishuli River as a result of a landslide on the Mugling-Narayanghat highway in Nepal’s Chitwan region, where Monsoon rains continue. At least 63 people in the two buses went missing while 3 passengers managed to escape before the fall. Meanwhile, another bus driver also died after being hit by a falling rock on the same section of the highway.

Landslides also destroyed houses in the Kaski region, 150 kilometers west of the capital Kathmandu, causing the death of 11 people in 3 different locations.
