The number of casualties at the operation carried out by the US Special Operations Forces (SOF) under the control of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in the Atmeh town of Syria’s Idlib city at night with the support of warplanes and helicopters, is increasing. In a statement made by the Civil Defense, it’s been reported that the number of victims in the operation carried out on a 2-storey house where 3 families lived increased to 13. According to local sources, SOF landed near the targeted home and clashed with a group for more than 2 hours after people inside refused to surrender.
“U.S. Special Operations forces under the control of U.S. Central Command conducted a counter-terrorism mission this evening in northwest Syria. The mission was successful. There were no US casualties,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said in his statement.
