A chain reaction traffic accident involving a truck carrying highly flammable materials reduced 16 vehicles to ashes on the highway between Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and Guarenas. The deadly accident killed at least 8 people and injured 14 others. Many fire brigades and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene.
Authorities said that several vehicles already crashed into each other, and the truck with flammable materials got involved afterwards. Road maintenance work was ongoing during the crashes.
