Despite heavy fog, thousands of people gathered on the Güvende Plateau in Türkiye’s Gümüşhane, where many martyrs were killed during the Ottoman-Russian War, for the 176th Güvende Plateau Festival. After opening speeches, the participants performed horon in accompany with powerful folk songs indigenous to the Black Sea region. The participants also set up tents, had barbecues and drank teas across an enchanting landscape.
