2 Dead, 40 Injured as Bus Overturns on Turkish Highway

 

A tragic incident occurred on the Niğde-Ankara Highway in Türkiye, resulting in 2 fatalities and 40 injuries as a passenger bus veered off into an embankment near Babakonağı, at the Nevşehir toll booth exit. The bus, operated by Metro Turizm and driven by Hannan Samanoğlu, was en route from Kilis to Istanbul when it inexplicably plunged into a ditch around 03:00 at night.

The injured received medical care at hospitals in Nevşehir and Aksaray, while the deceased were recovered from beneath the bus. Additionally, three puppies found in the bus’s trunk were safely rescued and handed over to authorities.
