An armed attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen on the evening of June 16, on the St Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, in the Alabama state, US. 2 people were killed and 1 injured in the armed attack. After a large number of police and first aid teams were dispatched to the scene, the premises of the church has cordoned off. Meanwhile person injured in the attack has taken to the hospital.
“From what we’ve gathered from the circumstances of this evening, a lone suspect entered a small church group meeting and began shooting. 3 people were shot. 2 people are deceased. 1 person is being treated for an unknown injury at a local hospital,” Vestavia Hills police Capt Shane Ware said in his statement about the incident.
