2 died, 6 injured in a bank robbery attempt in Canada

Two attackers attempted to rob a bank in the Saanich district of British Columbia, Canada. A gunfight broke out between the Greater Victoria police officers and the 2 attackers at the incident. In the gunfight, attackers were neutralized by the police officers. In the statement made by the police, it’s been reported that a total of 6 police officers were injured, 3 of them were seriously.

In addition to that, Saanich Police Chief Dean Duthie told that some houses in the area were evacuated as part of the investigation the police continued due to the suspicion of a possible explosive planted in the vehicle. Duthie stated that no such attack has taken place in the Saanich region for the past 27 years. “What I know about that chaotic, tragic, dynamic, violent scene, the fact that no citizens were injured in any way is truly amazing,” Duthie said.
