2 eruptions in Popocatepetl Volcano

According to the daily report published by Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED), Popocatepetl Volcano has produced 87 gas and smoke outputs with 2 eruptions in the last 24 hours in Mexico. The total number of eruptions this month has reached 21.

In the report, it was recommended that citizens living in the vicinity take precautions against ashfall and mudflows that may occur with rain as a result of the dust and ashes from the volcano spreading into the air due to the eruption. Authorities also warned the public not to approach the volcano because of the stones and gravel that may fall into the environment from the mouth of the volcano.
