While both vehicles became unusable after the accident, some people in the vicinity took advantage of the situation and looted the electronic items from the truck’s opened trailer. Eyewitnesses said some residents tried to prevent the looting. Both vehicles at the railroad crossing noticed the train’s arrival at the last moment, but they couldn’t go reverse from the railroad crossing due to traffic, according to the eyewitnesses.
