2 missing in Japan floods

About 200,000 people have been evacuated due to floods caused by heavy rains in Japan’s Fukui, Yamagata, Niigata, Fukushima, Ishikawa, and Toyama prefectures. Two people have gone missing and many houses have been flooded, officials said.

Train services, on the other hand, have been canceled due to the collapse of a railway bridge crossing a river in Fukushima Prefecture. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has forecast record precipitation over the next 24 hours.
