20 in Intensive Care After Singapore Airlines Turbulence

 

A Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar, leading to an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. The Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, landed at 15:45 local time on May 21.

Out of 104 injured passengers, 85 were hospitalized in two different facilities. Hospital officials reported that 20 individuals from Australia, England, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Philippines are in intensive care. Tragically, a 73-year-old British passenger lost his life during the incident.
