3 detained after Israeli Forces intervened in Palestinians’ sit-in in Sheikh Jarrah

Protests continuing in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Israeli occupied East Jerusalem to prevent Israel from forcibly evicting Palestinian families from their homes. Israel Forces intervened in the sit-in in solidarity with the Palestinian families who wanted to be forcibly evicted. Israel Forces, who attacked demonstrators with stun grenades and batons, have taken 3 people in custody. Meanwhile, demonstrators shouted, “Free Palestine” and “Settlers go away” slogans frequently at the sit-in. The sit-in was organized in support of the Salem family, who wanted to be forcibly evicted from the house they lived in for over 70 years in Sheikh Jarrah.
