An F-5 fighter aircraft belonging to the Iranian military crashed in Tabriz city of Iran. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire that broke out as a result of the accident. After the incident the Tabriz Shahid Fakouri Air Force Base Information Department released a statement regarding the incident. “The aircraft crashed on a sports hall due to a technical malfunction. The pilot and assistant pilot on the plane and a civilian in the region lost their lives,” Information Department said. Also, it’s been stated that an investigation has been launched regarding the incident, while the fire extinguishing efforts continue at the crash site.
