3 died in Italy flooding

Many areas in the Emilia-Romagna region were flooded as a result of the rising water levels due to the heavy rains that occurred in the north of Italy. Nello Musemeci, Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, announced that three people lost their lives and at least five thousand people were evacuated to safe areas. Search and rescue efforts continue for three missing people.

The mayor of Cesena, the center of the region, called on the locals to stay on higher floors and get away from the coastal areas.
