Thirty-two people lost their lives in 7 states—Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh—due to floods and landslides caused by the ongoing monsoon rains in India yesterday.
In the southern state of Kerala, the number of people who lost their lives in the landslides that occurred in the Wayanad region on Tuesday rose to 256 and more than 200 people were injured. Search efforts are ongoing for the 220 people who are missing.
