37 people died in migrant influx from Morocco to Spain

The influx of migrants from the Moroccan border to Melilla, which is Spain’s territory in North Africa and has the status of an autonomous province, caused a disaster. About 2,000 migrants, most of them from the Sub-Saharan African region, tried to jump over the border barriers and cross into Spanish territory, and faced harsh intervention by the Moroccan security forces. The Moroccan Nador Human Rights Association, which has representatives in the border region, said in a statement on 25 June that 37 people, including 2 Moroccan security forces, lost their lives, according to the information they obtained.

On the other hand, no official statement has been made yet about the number of migrants who lost their lives.
