Due to the heavy rain that started on weekend in the central and southern parts of Chile, many rivers have overflowed, leaving houses, farmlands, streets and main roads under water. The National Disaster Prevention and Response Service announced that 4 people lost their lives and more than 34,000 were displaced. Rescue operations were carried out with helicopters and boats for the stranded people.
