An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in Düzce, about 200 kilometers east of Istanbul, Turkey. The earthquake that occurred in Gölyaka district of the city was felt in Istanbul and the surrounding provinces as well. After the earthquake, many people fled the buildings and spent the night on the streets.
No casualties were reported, officials said.
