5 magnitude earthquake shakes western Türkiye

A magnitude-5 earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea. The shake was felt in Çanakkale, İzmir, Balıkesir and Bursa provinces of Türkiye. According to the data of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the depth of the earthquake, which occurred 15.82 kilometers off the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, was recorded as 14.95 kilometers.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
