Five Peruvian soldiers remain missing after being swept away by the river when anti-government protesters attacked a police station in the southern region of Puno and chased them. Meanwhile, five other soldiers who survived the incident were taken to a hospital and diagnosed with hypothermia.
Military sources have reported that one soldier was killed, and ten soldiers and seven civilians were injured in the attack on the station.
