51 pilot whales wash up on Australian beach

Fifty-one pilot whales washed up on Cheynes Beach, in the south of the Western Australian state of Australia. Vanessa Pirotta, a research conductor, said that they were not sure why the whales washed up on the beach, but it’s likely that they were escaping from a predator like a killer whale. Western Australia Parks and Wildlife Service officials have warned residents to stay away from the beach.
