6.0 magnitude earthquake hits Philippines

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted San Mariano, struck the Philippines at 06:02 GMT today and was followed by another 5.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred 3 hours after. The earthquakes collapsed a number of houses. About a hundred people in a mall were hit by glasses that broke in the disaster, but no deaths have been reported so far.

Due to its location in the “Ring of Fire” in the Pacific, the Philippines experiences regular earthquakes.
