60 died in airstrike on school in Luhansk

The Luhansk Oblast Governorate made a new statement after the Russian army hit the school in Ukrainian city of Luhansk on May 7 where 90 people awaiting evacuation were hiding. Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Haidai announced on his social media account that 60 of the 90 people trapped under debris in the school and lost their lives. “Due to the airstrike on the school, about 60 people lost their lives. As a result of the attack on the school building at 04:37 pm local time on May 7, a fire broke out in an area of 300 square meters. The fire was brought under control within 4 hours. Afterwards, an operation to rescue the survivors was started,” Governor Haidai said in his statement.
