The number of Sudanese fleeing their war-torn country for Chad has reached 60,000, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The report also highlights that 30,000 individuals arrived in Chad in recent days, with aid being provided to those seeking shelter. Families in the Ouaddai region’s Borota city have been accommodated in temporary shelters, while some remain exposed. The majority of refugees are women and children, many of whom have relatives unable to escape Sudan.
