A fire broke out for an unknown reason on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey building in Izmit, Kocaeli province of Türkiye, while a pregnant mother and her three children were inside. The mother and her two sons managed to flee the house but the flames quickly engulfing the apartment trapped the daughter in a room. After extinguishing the flames, fire crews found the lifeless body of the 7-year-old behind a bed.
