The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that more than 7,000 children under the age of 5 are suffering from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip. Around 1,700 of them have the condition severely, added organization.
According to the World Health Organization, 85 percent of those children did not eat for a whole day at least once in the three days before the survey was carried out.
The published numbers are from the results of 93,000 screenings between mid-January and May this year.
