Following an eruption at Ruang Volcano in Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province, 838 individuals were evacuated from their residences. The Indonesian Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) reported the volcano’s increased activity, spewing lava and ash and prompting a rise to the second-highest alert level.
