85 truck drivers went on hunger strike in Germany

In Germany, 85 truck drivers working under the Imperia Logistyka company went on a hunger strike in the Grfenhausen parking lot on the A5 highway between the cities of Frankfurt and Darmstadt. During the strike, which made a big impact in the country, workers claimed that they could not receive their salaries and that their salaries were unfairly deducted. The group, consisting of Turkish, Uzbek, Georgian, Kazakh, Ukrainian, and Azerbaijani drivers, stated that they will continue the strike until they get their rights.

“We will continue our struggle until we receive the money we have not been paid. We have 80 drivers, and we will receive approximately 500 thousand euros. We had a problem because they did not pay our salaries fully and on time. We have been on strike here for 2 months,” said Turkish driver Fatih Yıldırım.
