9 arrested after bridge accident in india

Nine people were arrested after the investigation into the collapse of the suspension bridge over the Machchhu River in India, which killed 141 people yesterday.

Police stated that the arrestees included the managers of Oreva Group, who signed a 15-year contract last March for the maintenance and operation of the bridge, toll booth workers and security guards on the bridge. Oreva Group has been sued by the state of Gujarat for murder, attempted murder and other violations.

Chief Inspector Ashok Yadav stated that the police formed a private investigation team and said, “No one will be spared”.
