Korean War veteran Hüseyin Yücedağ, who passed away at the age of 92 in Izmir, was laid to rest in a military ceremony. Yücedağ, originally from Denizli and a father of three residing in Izmir, had been receiving medical treatment before his passing. The military funeral ceremony took place after the Friday prayer at the 15 July Martyrs Mosque in Izmir’s Gaziemir district. Following the funeral prayer, Yücedağ was interred in Gaziemir New Cemetery.
The ceremony was attended by military officials, Yücedağ’s children, relatives, and numerous citizens. It was noted that Meliha Yücedağ, the wife of Korean War veteran Hüseyin Yücedağ, had passed away 15 years ago.
