Anti-Terrorism Operation in Karabakh Ends as Armenian Armed Groups Surrender

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Spokesperson Anar Eyvazov reported that an agreement was made to stop anti-terrorism operations at 13:00 local time upon the call made by the representatives of the Armenian residents of Karabakh through the Russian peacekeeping forces. According to the agreement, illegal Armenian armed groups in the Karabakh region will surrender and be removed from the regions under the control of Russian peacekeepers. Eyvazov also stated that members of Armenian armed groups who wanted to surrender were allowed to surrender without being fired upon.

At the proposal of Azerbaijan, a meeting will be held with representatives of Armenian residents of Karabakh to discuss integration issues. The meeting will take place in Yevlakh tomorrow.
