While the Russian army’s attacks on Kharkiv continues, a couple in the city got married in the metro station that they took shelter in order to be protected from the Russian bombardment. While Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and other citizens staying at the metro station attended, the wedding was recorded by the press members and citizens in the surrounding area.
On the other hand, Terekhov made a statement about the latest situation in the city and the wedding that took place with the video he posted on his social media accounts. “Dear Kharkiv residents, on the 39th day of the war our city and Ukraine are resisting like heroes and approaching victory. The people will not give up and despite the bombardments, markets are working. We are returning to normal life. The city of Kharkiv lives and will win. I wish our married couple many years of togetherness under a peaceful sky. Yes, the wedding took place at the metro station and the bride was not dressed in white. But everyone saw her happiness. The Russian army couldn’t prevent this perfect girl” Terekhov said in his statement.
