air pollution threatens lives in Thailand and nearby countries

Air pollution brought on by extensive agricultural burning and woodland fires has become a great problem in Thailand and the surrounding nations. The pollution has covered the Thai capital Bangkok, causing dangerous levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and harming 1.32 million people nationally.

The governments of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos are looking to work together to address transnational pollution as the toxic dust levels spiked above safe levels for breathing.
