Alanya’s Healing Cave Attracts Numerous Visitors

Damlataş Cave, which was discovered by chance in 1948 in the Alanya district of Antalya as a result of dynamite explosions while opening a quarry to be used for pier construction and became a hope for asthma patients due to the clear air it contains, has become a popular destination for thousands of tourists.

“The cave is quite fascinating, and very different. However, it is a bit humid inside, it would be good if visitors took this into consideration,” said a visitor, Nisa Nur Tuna.

“I have visited various similar caves before. I know that these types of caves are good for asthma patients. The temperature of the cave is the same here in summer and winter. I recommend you come in winter,” says another visitor, Nurgül Yokuş.
