Albania PM Backs Gaza Force In Israeli Parliament

Edi Rama told the Israeli parliament that Albania is ready to join an international stabilization force in Gaza, alongside Türkiye and Arab countries. Speaking at the Knesset during his visit to Israel, Rama said, “We are ready to participate in the International Stabilization Force to be established in Gaza, together with our Turkish brothers, our Arab brothers, and others.” He recalled Albania’s history of protecting Jews during World War II and said his country had also taken risks by sheltering Iranian dissidents, adding that Albania had “severed ties with the Khomeini Republic.” Rama’s speech, which criticized Hamas and defended Israel, was partially boycotted by Arab lawmakers.
