A giant tornado occurred on a coalfield in the Afşin district of Türkiye’s Kahramanmaraş province. Forming in a windy area, the tornado rapidly grew and blanketed the area in dust. Footage from a helicopter showed that a truck daringly drove past the dangerous tornado. However, the tornado disappeared without causing any damage.
Week-long heavy rains in Bangladesh caused landslides, resulting in 7 deaths and 10 injuries, primarily in Chittagong and surrounding towns. 30,000 are stranded in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban, with power and communication disruptions.
