An explosion occurred at night on the top floor of a high-rise building in Hamdan Street in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). After the explosion, a fire broke out in the building. It was claimed on the social media that the explosion was occurred as a result of a missile attack. In the statement made by the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, it’s been stated that information about missile or drone attack in Abu Dhabi was received, and a warning was issued for US citizens.
Menawhile, the attack allegations were denied by the UAE government. According to the UAE official news agency, Abu Dhabi civil defense teams announced that the fire broke out as a result of a gas cylinder explosion. It was reported that there were no injuries in the incident, and the explosion didn’t caused any major damage to the building. Also they indicated that the fire was brought under control and cooling efforts were carried out by the firefighters after the explosion.
