Another destructive earthquake in Türkiye’s Hatay

An earthquake with 6.4 magnitude occurred in Defne district of Türkiye’s Hatay province, one of the cities where thousands of citizens lost their lives due to the devastating Kahramanmaraş earthquakes that occurred two weeks ago. The jolt that occurred at 20:04 yesterday evening has demolished many buildings, which were already damaged but the earthquake victims were obliged to return to due to severe cold and the lack of temporary living spaces such as tents and container houses. So far, 6 deaths and 294 injuries have been reported.

The earthquake was also felt in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Cyprus.
