Antalya’s Historic Hıdırlık Tower Project Advances

The ‘Hıdırlık Tower Surroundings Archaeological Excavation and Observation Terrace Project’ in Antalya, Türkiye is nearing completion. Led by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the project has uncovered ancient ruins now viewable through new glass surfaces. Restoration includes completed wooden and glass flooring, and transparent railings to preserve the cliff’s silhouette. Ongoing excavations have revealed a 1st-2nd century AD columned structure and a 13-meter ditch filled with 1900s artifacts. Conservation of floor mosaics and collection of 75 cases of ceramics are also in progress.
