Anti-Government Protests Continue in Tel Aviv

Yesterday in Israel’s Tel Aviv, Israelis continued the protests sparked after the killing of 6 Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip to urge the government to reach a ceasefire agreement. The protesters chanted slogans against far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, shouting “Ben Gvir is a terrorist,” and held a symbolic funeral ceremony in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square with coffins representing 27 killed prisoners. Around 2,000 people gathered in front of the Israeli army headquarters in Tel Aviv and chanted, “We are all hostages of the blood government” and “An unsigned agreement will kill everyone.”
