anti-military government protests in Sudan

Protests in Sudan continue, sparked by the people’s desire to hand over complete control of the government to civilians following the military intervention on October 25, last year. Hundreds of protesters gathered in Khartoum, chanting slogans and marching with banners.

Ayman Badawi, one of the protesters, said, “The parades of the revolutionaries are organized by the civilian committees and coordination groups in Khartoum as always. These are held to condemn the coup. The rejection of October 25 is still very important for the Sudanese people and this has been going on for a year. The Sudanese people resisted.”
