Iranians gathered at the former US embassy in Tehran to mark the 42nd anniversary of takeover of the US embassy and hostage crisis on 04 November 1979. The USA granted permission to Shah to be hospitalized in the United States, causing 52 diplomats and guards to be held hostage in the embassy by Iranian students at the crisis 42 years ago. Protesters chanted ‘Death to America’ at the former US embassy in Tehran during demonstrations.
In his speech, the General Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Hussein Selami said that the fear of the destruction of the Zionist Israeli regime was the nightmare of the United States. “The biggest massacres and tortures in the world were carried out by the USA. 40 major wars and the loss of 8 million lives are a result of the global politics of the USA. The United States is trying to impose its own policy on the world with its 750 military bases,” Salami said.
