Anzac Day commemorated in Australia

Hundreds of people marched in cities around Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, to mark Anzac Day, which is observed annually on April 25. The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps commemorates Anzac Day by remembering the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli on April 25, 1915.

State President Rob Webster, Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sally Cap, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, and members of the Australian Defence Forces attended the Anzac Day wreath-laying ceremony at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance.
