A fire broke out in an Aquapark in the center of Najaf, Iraq. The flames quickly spread to the surrounding workplaces with the effect of the wind.
Iraqi Civil Defense General Directorate stated that reinforcement teams came from Babylon, Al Diwaniyah and Karbala cities, and a total of 50 fire trucks responded to the flames. It was emphasized that the fire occurred in the sandwich panels in the Aquapark and that safety instructions were not followed. While the flames were brought under control hours later, many shops were turned into ashes.
